A CASE STUDY FROM PRACTICE
The importance of choosing the right paint and varnish materialsNot so long ago, I came across an interesting case from my repair practice. The customers purchased an apartment in the old foundation, the ceiling height is 3.2 meters, and the kitchen is literally flooded with light thanks to four huge windows. In such a situation, it is important to choose the right paint for the walls, because bright daylight can highlight any surface defects. Unfortunately, customers succumbed to the marketing ploy and bought glossy paint for the promotion (the manufacturer is good, but not the point), although they initially wanted a matte one.
The sellers simply "sold" this product to them, assuring them that it would fit perfectly. However, after applying the paint, the walls began to shine as if covered with oil, emphasizing all the irregularities and flaws.Of course, if they had chosen matte paint, the result would have been completely different. The matte surface hides imperfections better and creates a more cozy atmosphere. But, alas, the customer also decided to tin the paint, which made it irrevocable. Now you have to live with what you have, or repaint it anew. This case reminds us all of the importance of careful selection of materials for repairs. Always consider the specifics of your room, whether it's the height of the ceilings, the number of windows, or the type of lighting. And remember that with such a fundamental and delicate matter as repairing your home, a promotional item is not always the best choice! In general, the topic is very broad.
We wish you a good repair!
